Veneers

A Veneer is a thin piece of porcelain that is bonded to the front surface of a tooth. Like a false fingernail. They often involve little or no tooth removal and once bonded are extremely strong. They can be used to change the shape and colour of a tooth or to close undesirable spaces between teeth. For those not wanting braces 'instant orthodontics' can sometimes be achieved by using veneers though it must be said that if the teeth are moved into a better position first and then veneered (often using braces), less tooth material will have to be removed which is always better for a tooth.
